Ieva Kananavičiūtė

Ieva Kananavičiūtė studied at the Kaunas Juozas Gruodis Conservatory Secondary and Musical Education, specialising in Music Theory. In 2014 she started a Bachelor of Music Theory and Criticism and Related Field‘s Studies of Music Education in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She studied through the Erasmus+ programme in University of Bergen, in the Grieg Academy Department. She collaborated with Lithuanian Creators Union. In four years of active collaboration many articles about various Lithuanian and international choir music festivals and competitions have been published in Union‘s website www.choras.lt. She has been actively involved in concert and competition leadership practice in the Lithuanian Academy of Music Theatre and beyond. Following academic interests about representation of Lithuanian music culture beyond borders of the country, she has had other articles published on the Lithuanian Music Information Center‘s website, Lithuanian Writers Union weekly Literature and Art and Lithuanian Academy of Music and theatre website.
