Franca Floris
A graduate in Artistic Singing, Franca Floris studied composition, choral conducting and Gregorian chant with J. Jürgens, L. Agustoni, A. Albarosa, J. B. Goeschl, and G. Milanese. Meeting and diligently cooperating with the late Maestro Piergiorgio Righele from Vicenza was decisive for her training as a choir director. She founded and directs the Complesso Vocale di Nuoro, a choir which has a busy programme of performances in Italy and abroad and has won prizes in national and international competitions in various groups and categories. She directs the children’s choir of the N. 2 P. Borrotzu Comprehensive School of Nuoro which, under her leadership, has won two third prizes in the Vittorio Veneto (2004) and Malcesine (2007) competitions and the first prize in the National Choir Competition in Verona (2015). Franca is called on by institutions and national and international associations to hold courses in singing, directing and choral interpretation and to be part of the jury in national and international choral competitions. She served on the FENIARCO Artistic Commission and was President of the FERSACO Artistic Commission.
