Isabelle Métrope

ICB Managing Editor

Isabelle Métrope is a European at heart. She learned violin from an early age and grew up surrounded mostly by choral music. She studied languages and music management and has been working for 15 years as an event manager, translator and journalist in the international music scene. Later on, she studied singing and choral conducting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, gathering musical inspirations working with Helmuth Rilling, Kathy Romey and Hans Christoph Rademann. Isabelle works as a freelance singer, conductor and music journalist. She performs regularly as a soloist, though her primary passion is choral singing: she is member of Frieder Bernius’ Kammerchor Stuttgart and Denis Rouger’s figure humaine kammerchor and one of the founding members of the newly created ensemble Cythera conducted by Mihály Zeke.
